We are KHAPREs, we are proud of our surname or last name. Keeping our roots in a small villege, ChitraDurga in Karnataka state in India,
having a mere presence in the world, the family is smaller than fifty people.
I could not remember the whole hierarchy but names like Devappa and Surappa are in the
ancestry due to our life in southern India.
Yallappa Khapre (My great grand father) had 2 sons and 3 daughters,
namely (in order) Pralhad (My grand father), Ramachandra, Damayanti, Sushila and Anuradha.
Pralhad Khapre being the most educated and eldest moved to Pune and with obvious
responsibilties settled all sisters and brother. He worked in Ammunition Factory, Kirki, Pune.
My grand father married with Lakshibai (My grand mother) who studied and braught up in a Marathi family of
Malwadkars in Pune. Ramchadrarao had two sons and two daughters, Rajendra, Bharati, Ravindra, Kishori from
Lilabai. By end of 1994, Ramchandrarao passed away as a cause of massive heart attack.
Pralhad Khapre had one son and two daughters, Dilip (My father), Avanti and Pushpa.
Dilip Khapre married with my mother Vandana from Mumbai. Both my parents studied in Pune and Mumbai
respectively. Pralhad Khapre passed away on 13 January 1996.
We are three siblings, Vaishali, Vishal and Shreyas.
Vaishali married to Mr. Nitin Kadam from Pune on June 1, 1997 and had a beautiful Daughter named Kalyani and a smart son named Shrihari.
Kalyani is just 8 years old now, and Shrihari is 4. Being in family of Khapre, Kalyani inherits the speaking quality means she is a talker.
My sister immigrated to Australia late 2005 with her family ... wish I can visit her sometime in Sydney.
I married a charming woman named Rohini, on December 25, 2004, here is the link.
We had a beutiful daughter in 2008 named RoVija.
My younger brother is still in Pune with my parents, he finished his studies and started his professional career.
Now he is married to Gauri, the first born of Ghodake from Aurangabad.
